Einfach perfekt!

As always Gerry has true talent in all he does, like this amazing, beautiful, magical, sound scape Of wonderful,lovely, picturesque, memories... right enough! His vocals are like sweet wine to my lips, and his music is like the fields of cotton on a bright and beautiful Day. Pure Heaven!

'Memories', seems to have its structure on based on Thirds: 1/3 synthesizer, 1/3 acoustics(including voice) and 1/3 electric guitar. Combined these elements make for a sedate and tranquil album. Track #6. 'Deepspace', is the most overtly Ambient with a synthesized woodwind ensemble performing a light almost folk music selection. Track #1, "Black Sea', is the opposite with ample orchestration and complexity yet is still a highly relaxing piece. The cover art of the album displays a winter scene but that not withstanding there is a wintry or even Yuletide feel to this work.

Oh lord . . but I love "Memories" . . . the song . .. and the album also . . but that song, the vocals were so exquisite they brought the tears to my eyes. . . if that is Gerry singing . .. he has a voice that melts the heart of the listener . . As every song, on this album, played out one after the other I was touched and moved . . this is a sentimental album with the intention of giving the listener a little place to shed some tears over memories .. . we all have them and some of our memories cause a little heart ache . . . This music was created by a talented musician .. .. not only a wonderful composer and expert but someone who has had experiences at life and understands the deep wounds we all carry . . . and he has created something that fills that hollow feeling this listener feels sometimes when contemplating that passage of time and the changes through life. . . sometimes sad . . . often . . . His music tends towards the gentle . . . not too many layers to his pieces but sweetly melodic and the ability to carry the listener to the regions of deep introspection and contemplation . .. meditation and memories . . . totally gorgeous . . .
