I've been listening to the Mixtapes Vol. 1-3. Amazing world-beat trilogy. I'm posting my review here because I especially like this album, which is so very calming and refreshing, flowing nicely. I think I hear some singing of autumnal insects in tracks 4 and 5. This feels as if it's a crisp evening in October, moonlit and calm. The Yao Jing Parade (track 7), which must be 妖怪大行進 in Japanese - I hope Chinese speakers agree - is a track that sums up this trilogy and brings a smile to everyone who hears it. :) These three instrumental albums let you travel around the world virtually. Unicite successfully made these various soundclips/samples into lovely tracks. Some of them sound like Asian (Southern, Western or Eastern: Indian sitar, Chinese fiddle etc). Others feel like Celtic, African, Spanish, Latin American, and so on. What is more, they are all combined very nicely. Thus here's this beautiful "East meets West" feel. And this is not something traditional you find in a "world/folklore music" shelves, but modern electronic music that is very original. The production is excellent and every track sounds great.
