This album is my personal dream come true, the distribution of my individual expression of music to the world, thanks to the Internet, jamendo.com and a whole other bunch of people.
I put this album together as a contribution to the countless people on the globe working towards sustainability, harmony, community and beauty on this planet. Some tracks feature excerpts of speeches which particularly have inspired me.
Please take note that all of the music has been created on my laptop and headphones as monitoring device. I did not have the chance to go into a studio.
1.) You Are Free
Satish Kumar, Indian philosopher and former Jain monk, talks about spirituality,
relationships, love and compassion. Recorded during one of his beautiful fire side chats in
a short course at www.schumachercollege.org in Devon, UK.
With kind permission of Satish Kumar.
2.) We Are The Stars
We can hear several speakers from the Bioneers Radio Series. The main theme is that we
are all one and interconnected. Please check out www.bioneers.org/radio and
www.bioneers.org for their wonderful work on social and technological innovation and
information for a sustainable, equitable, compassionate and democratic society.
With kind permission of the Bioneers Radio Series.
3.) Abundance
Jacques Fresco and Roxanne Meadows depict their vision of a money-less society devoid
of poverty, war and hunger by creating abundance through scientific advance and sharing
of resources. Their voices are taken from an interview by Lynn Thompson for her Living
on Purpose show. Please visit www.thevenusproject.com for information on this vision and
their work on how to get there and www.livingonpurposelynn.com for Lynn's web
page.
With kind permission of Lynn Thompson.
4.) Feeding A Dream
Another piece enriched by recordings of a lecture at www.schumachercollege.org, this time
featuring Janine Benyus teaching on biomimicry, the study of nature for the development of
sustainable technologies. For more insights into biomimicry hit the link
www.biomimicryinstitute.org.
With kind permission of Janine Benyus.
5.) One Planet
This is an instrumental track, lined with a whole lot of effects trying to convey a sense of
sharing this one fantastic planet with all creatures.
6.) Yes, Life!
A powerful instrumental track again with lots of drive. After finishing it, I got reminded by a
wonderful special young person and poet I had the blessing to meet while being at
Schumacher College, Bruce Haynes. His impetus and thirst for life was epitomised by a
phrase he used to make and attach to his correspondence, "Yes, Life!". I felt this to be
particularly apt for this piece :-) Thanks Bruce
7.) Down To Earth
Another instrumental song. More relaxed and grounded, with thunders at beginning and
end, which suggested this title to me.
8.) New Story
Now we can hear Bruce Haynes on his own rap about the massive movement for change in
the world and on how to adapt our own mindset in order to see the changes we want to see
in the world. Just great rhymes. Recorded with a very poor microphone in a study room at
Schumacher College.
With kind permission of Bruce Haynes.
9.) Ode To Gaia
Schumacher College's resident ecologist Dr. Stephan Harding is featured during one of his
lectures on the theory of Gaia, the study of the Earth as a living organism and Holistic
Science. Unfortunately the voice recording was of poor quality, just trapped with a standard
dictating machine. Tried to do my best....
With kind permission of Stephan Harding.
10.) Mutual Education
An older song I tweaked and graced by the powerful words of visionary and leading thinker
of alternative education Ivan Illich.
11.) Rising Sun
Actually the first of my series of songs I started composing while at Schumacher College.
Basically instrumental, a dominant arpeggiated synth interjected with some voice samples.
The album picture is an assembly I did myself of different pics from the public domain, retrieved from www.wikipedia.org. Some of the pictures require appropriate licensing:
"Koala climbing up a tree", and "Hopetown falls", by David Liff
"Ozyptila Praticola", by Andre Karwath
These pictures are released under the Creative Commons-Share Alike 3.0 license, which requires linkage to creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0.
If you are considering a donation, you may think of mentioning a specific song if you have a preference. In fact, should I be graced by any donation, I intend to forward portions of them to the respective institutions or projects who have been influential in getting the songs together. Thank you.

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
