Interesting and sensitive performance of this violin concerto on marimba. Tends to make the solo part stand out where it usually becomes a part of the orchestra (which is excellent too, by the way) but what the hell - I've never heard this 'live' and would not have known.
More than adequately rewards the time spent listening.
'J.S.Bach Concerto for Violin in A Minor', is a Baroque(Era) Classical Instrumental, Extended Play Single.
This Album's Composition portrays a Unique Approach to Bach and Chamber Music Performance in General by Blending, Violin, Viola and Marimba. Indeed, it is the Musically Toasty-Warmth of the Marimba which Elevates this Work above the typical "Long Hair" Classical Concert and gives the Piece a "Friendliness" not commonly found in the World Of Classical Music.
Strict Traditionalists really should NOT find anything to complain about as Bach's Spirit and Style is Expertly Preserved.
Overall, Excellence without Compromise-Enjoy.
