Images of two is a very pleasant piece of acoustic work : melodic, light, nostalgic sometimes, but I would say globally « sunny » and maybe optimistic. The guitar delivers rivers of notes in a quite atmosphere on Fight to the death, sometimes favourably energic as on Daffodill or even satured on Girl next door. It’s also a real pleasure to hear this soft, quite, melodic, sometimes more energic, voice. The others instruments are doing their job : the dry sound of drums fits well with the music, the bass guitar is okay and we can notice here and there the intervention of some electronic sounds or of an electric guitar which break the relative monotony that could come out of the set (there is a large number of songs for only 50 minutes of music) : indian ambience on You are beautiful, the riff on Cuando bailas me haces lloar (llorar ?) , the more energic, vivid parts popping out on some tracks. I would only regret the too abrupt end of some songs like Girl next door or For me : it’s like it’s not finished, we are wanted for more ; I asked myself « why the hell it doesn’t go on for a little bit more ? ». I was also sceptical about the voice on the chorus of the first track and on the second track. It is truly revealed on For me. The whole thing is very homogeneous : there is no real surprise, but it is so well done, we can only listen and appreciate. remedy lane
