A good, though uneven, album I like

I had made a review of Letters from home a few weeks ago – but it was deleted ☹. This is the occasion for me to make a more accurate comment – for I had the time to assimilate the music in a more global way. Since I downloaded the album, the place of each track has been removed. But still don’t content yourself with the electronic sounds of 16plus : to my mind it stays the less interesting song, as for the composition and the sound. Go on and just switch to Letters from home : now, after the first measures you will truly discover the core of the album : the efficiency of the composition is revealed through those guitar riffs. It really surprised me the first time. Positively anyway. They are, somehow, very heavy, almost powerful, with an efficient scheme. Fly beyond is for me the best track: I have been listening to it again and again, and had always found these atmospheric, light, emotional feelings. And the solo guitar in the end is great. I consider Letters from home, Under the rain, Fly beyond and Amusement as the best and more progressive songs of the album. For the other tracks are mostly pleasant but suffer from a major drawback : the electronic sounds themselves. Much too synthetic, sometimes kitsch. It works again the music making it sound almost banal or already heard – which is not the case. Indeed, if we focus on the composition, setting aside the instruments, we notice destructured parts and interesting rhythmic patterns as on Desire. And good melodies. The whole album is quite uneven, with alternation of pure electronic work and more progressive touches. My preference goes to the second ones. They are what make German Fafian sound different from the others. remedy lane
