1-Movietro/A few Seconds A great intro track that shows you have absolutly no qualms with pushing ya beats in new directions.. 2-Why Now this track is fuckin awesome......The guitars have such a great odd feel to them and the vocal sample that floats in and out and underneath really gives this an interesting atmosphere. 3-Sweet Nectars This track reminds me of the sort of samples i look for, quite left of centre. The drums are well produced here as usual but i particulaly like the delay or reverb you put over the shakers and hats. This is one of teh few tracks of yours i heard that sound like an MC would really take this track further 4-Mark's Lude/Sober Down Risin' Now this track here is my personal favourite. I dont know where to start with this one bro. The sequence of the guitar is wonderfull as is the whole sequence of the song especially how yopu restart the beat at 1 min with some great matmos sounding percussion sounds under the loop. I am also impressed with teh fact that no kick drum is present untill over 2 mins. That is summat i used to do with my old style of beats and something i find aint done enough in hip hop cos it really adds so much when it finnaly drops. (this track sounds like it could fuit in a cafe del mar LP quite nicely) 5-Parents Were Players I love this track also.....it reminds me off early kmd production. Except you flipped it yer own way with ya great use of the mummy/daddy sample. Also great marriage of kick & snare bro, they really work so well with this loop. OVERALL!! This was something that really suprised me bro and i dont mean cos i had low hopes. I mean you really made me think bout my beats when listening to yours and thats great shit. I get more inspiration from amateur beatmakers than i do pro ones and have dsone for a while. This little EP is something that if i had done it myself would be extremely happy with................Your use of the low end of your audio spectrum is spot on too man, you really keep them hard to trap frequencies under control and ya drums are as clean and crisp as they should be..................... overall i would give this EP a 8.6 out of 10! Peace! unknown
