About this album

  • Updated: 10/06/2009

Shortly after the release of the new LP “Herz zerissen” the back-catalogue is extended by a new single extraction. “Angst” appears exclusively under a creative Commons licence via afmusic and is available from the 12th of June, 2009 for free-download.

“Angst” is the secret hit of the topical album and comes on the Maxi CD immediately three times for the player: Beside the album version there’s the elaborate and startling video and further more a remix of JAN_SOLO who turns REBENTISCH’s music into an absolutely new, thrilling-analogous garment.

That song unites all strengths of REBENTISCH and kidnaps its listeners on a trip by the eighties with excursions in present and future. The project from Germany’s capitol stands for Dark Wave with German texts and lyrical claim like no other band.

Already the audioversion is a love relationship of Wave and word. The artistic video primes this special liaison with surreally sinister and dreadfully nice pictures.

Interesting, dark wave, minimal, gothic even sounding, techno, dance tracks, With really interesting, good solid vocals, that make these tracks stand out to me, more. With really good bass lines. I also found it quite therapeutic, listening to these tracks, and hypnotic as well. Yet very melodical and catchy at that.
