Nice.

Some interesting pieces here. I liked the instrumentation on most of the songs, but I felt let down with the vocals, or lack of vocals altogether. I got the impression that the album was created as a joke because the pieces definitely have a lot of movement for being a little longer and open for lyrics. "Lethe, West Virginia" is toylike, like it's a bunch of kids in a classroom playing. "Moon Song" is a nice track, but short and monotonous. "By the River" is strange with it's tinkly xylophone. "Shamayim" has a nice sound when all the bits get going, but I couldn't take the vocals at all. "Sun Song" was too much like "Moon Song", again with annoying vocals. I liked the last half of "Mars, Kentucky", but it too was lacking substance of a good lyric. "City Hall" again had the tinkling xylophone that made it childish. "Light Circles" sounded like a pre-school experiment. "Fixed Stars" had some good guitar, but nothing else, it was so empty. I don't know. Maybe I had this album all wrong. If it's aimed at young kids, then maybe it's just right, but for us grown ups, I think the pieces have so much potential, but need more ooomphf and some good lyrics.
