Swirling, minimalist sound construction. Nicely done. There is something quite attractive to DDD, maybe it's the tone of it. Maybe its manner, as it comes across fairly relaxed. Deux is certainly more interesting on the face of it, but there is some more depth to this track. The tonality seems similar to DDD, almost like it's a remix. As far as being experimental, it definitely sides with empiricism and sticking to a methodology. Third alters the flow somewhat, though retains the loose structuring and giving what seems to be a different perspective of the same subject. The voice sample makes me think of a tribal rally. Complaint strikes out on its own, standing out from the crowd of the first three tracks, though without losing touch with its nominal forebears. Though as the track progresses, it feels more and more like its siblings, although with a more interesting patter. The final track, stands up initially and asserts itself. The atmospherics of Ambe make it, for me, the best track from this little album. Overall, not at all bad and as reasonable an experiment as it is, I can see there is room for further development. Perhaps the other albums will satisfy my curiosity. The point is that it has captured my interest to want to hear more.
