About this album

  • Updated: 29/06/2009

It's about us. It's about you and it's about me.

I know you will never love me. But I love you.
And you're killing me. Sorry for that. It's not your fault. You don't know.
I'm so happy when you're near, when you're looking me with your dangerous blue eyes.
But it's burning me. I don't want you to go far, even if I know you love an other.
And even if it's destroying me. You're my poison. My so beautiful poison.
WHen I see you with your lover, I see the end.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.
I am the parasite. I am the parasite of your love.
I need my part of you. I need the illusion of your love.
I am the parasite. I am the parasite of your love.
I need my part of you. I need my part of your blood. My part of your skin.
I need The smell of your skin.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.
I need The smell of your skin.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.
I need The smell of your skin.
I need to be lost in your dangerous blue eyes.

In the best moments of "I see the end", I remind the Soundtrack of the "Silent Hill" Videogames. If this is a personal album then I imagine a story of the deepest holes of the artists soul. The first song is much too long, because nothing happend. The climax is right in the beginning. The Titletrack and "You love" get better. Weird, dark and subtile violent. And so the movie in my head starts. He would be X rated for disturbing content. It was a bad idea listening to the album while wearing headphones. "Needing" got in my ear like a Q-Tip with it's hard crushed beat. Somewhere in behind there is a guitar. It's a bit too quiet. The weakpoint of "I see the end" is that sometimes the songs get a bit monotone. This is music to sit down to listen to. I need a climax and good timing to dive into. I felt a bit cheated while listening concentrated to Track1. Yawn! This is just shallow and boring. The last track shows how to get it right by freaking out more and more. Is this an ambulance? Am I dead? The other albums of Alvarsovy are titled "SM android" or "Needing Pain". Oh, I got into the "Otto von Schirach" corner of electro. never mind. Should I listening to another album by Alvarsovy? NOT NOW! I have to get over this, before I come back for more!

There is a real sense of the situation of owning an uncontrollable heart in this first track. Such excitement is a joyous thing (as long as it doesn't stray into a medical condition) and encourages the body to exude all sorts of wonderful chemicals into the system, which may lead to a form of euphoria. It is all there naturally to be enjoyed, and better done so, without cheats, which tend to do nothing but exhaust overly. One of those 'natural' ways, is through that wonderfully complex notion and experience of love. This seems relevant. Similarly embued with wild emotion, it seems, is I See The End. Though a quick glance at the track list, and a read of the 'preamble', I can also see the end of a potentially rocky road of musical expression. That is, by no means, a problem. This subject matter is integral to the human experience, so worth elucidating upon. Artists of many description have endeavoured to tackle such subject matter. All with varying degrees of success and accomplished reception. Here the sensation is quite raw and possibly fresh is another descriptive. I find it quite accessible, though I imagine it is not for all. The third track, is usually soothed by such platitudes involving fish in the sea etc., though I reiterate the raw experience can be felt, of such a unenviable position to be in. There is that rushing tumultuousness evident, which overwhelms with realisation and feeling. I Can't Stop To Love You, becomes more rationally angled. Such a plea, which is how I see it in this sequence of eventualities, might form a last-ditch attempt at reconciliation, and is often based of logicality, perhaps to help contain and focus the irrational emotionality. Presuming that this was not successful, leads neatly to the next track, Needing To Be Mad. A general reaction to wallow in the wild, craziness of emotion and feeling, to avoid contemplation that offers little more than yearning and heart-ache. Sometimes this can be a release-valve, though in my mind the addition of intoxicants delays and confuses the more natural processes involved. Loss of being, in this case, In Your Dangerous Blue Eyes, appears to be the next development and outcome of being mad for a while. It expresses total devotion beyond what is attainable, the ultimate self-sacrifice. I like the rolling, writhing gait of the electronics in The Smell of Your Skin. After all the complexities of emotion, it generally seems to boil down to friction! To end, Bad Evening and Bad Night, is the curious climactic come-down, that if not dreaded, almost seems to be the inevitable outcome of such a succession of events and experiences. Love and loss can be disproportionate, sometimes justified, sometimes amplified. As Skin sings: 'Just because it feels good, doesn't make it right'. I will add, not necessarily wrong either.
