Now, this is really something different. Is this Spanish, Russian, rock, opera, classic, metal, Australian, oriental, everything together? Don't know, yet. All I know this almost blew up my head! Damn, who uploads such dangerous albums without warning? Is this real?

Black Sabbath, King Diamond y algo moderno tocando fusión? xD A mi las cantantes líricas en estilo metal no me suelen gustar. Rizar el rizo dentro del metal mezclando estilos muchisimo menos... Y aquí está la excepción de la regla! Riffs potentes y bien conseguidos, fusión de calidad entre muchos estilos, temas llamativos con mucha pegada, sonido impecable... ¿Qué más decir? Altamente recomendado!

Einem Freund beschrieb ich dieses Album als "verjazztes Metal-Operngeträller". Hat jemand eine treffendere Beschreibung? Nein, im Ernst, es ist unmöglich, diese Mixtur einzuordnen, weil sie etwas vollkommen Neues darstellt. Ich glaube, was mich an der Musik vom "Diablo Swing Orchestra" so fasziniert ist der starke Gegensatz zwischen der harten, verruchten Musik, die tatsächlich direkt aus der Hölle kommen könnte, und der engelsgleichen Sopranstimme, die sich in teilweise unglaubliche Höhen schraubt. Besonders im ersten Titel kommt dieser Kontrast deutlich rüber. Das Spektrum reicht vom eher ruhigen "D'angelo" bis zum fetzigen "Balrog Boogie", vom exotischen "Gunpowder Chant", das von Obertongesang getragen wird (!) bis zu "Wedding March for a Bullet", dessen Name einem schon kalt den Rücken runterläuft und das einen wunderschönen Spannungsbogen beinhaltet. Das Beste, was ich seit langer Zeit gehört habe!

Ecco finalmente qualcosa di nuovo!!! Altro che quello che ci viene propinato a forza dalla radio!!! Sono entrati a pieno titolo nel mio podcast... e ci resteranno per un bel pezzo!!! Bravissimi, continuate così!!!

Super mix of music styles which made a stunningly entertaining album. Never having heard metal lined with a classical operatic voice I was enchanted. Devilishly enchanted. The album seemed to be a mix of heavy doses of metal/rock with jazz, opera, a great guitar, super voice, and very nice violin to cooperatively create a very original album. It started with a swinging boogie which I liked. I also liked those two interesting interludes at track #7 "Gunpowder Chant" and #10 "Qualms of Conscience" with its heavy piano. "Pink Noise Waltz" was a wonderful song to end with all the fine instrumentals and vocals and that tricky change in beat and melody down tempo to a sweet waltz. I am not a big metal fan but I really liked this album for its uniqueness and great voice. I think this group would be really something to see on a stage in person.

Sorpresa total, una alegría. Un descubrimiento que no me ha dejado indiferente, pues mi pasión por el metal, el jazz y las voces líricas femeninas (que no encuentro muchas) se ha visto satisfecha por partida triple al ver que existen armonizadas en una estupenda banda sueca! Sin palabras, seguid así.

the whole atmosphere and story around it is great!

Ponad trzysta komentarzy z czego prawie 99% pisze, ze album jest doskonaly lub prawie doskonaly. Jako, ze mam nature przekorna i musze wszytko sprawdzic empirycznie zarzucilem na uszy dzwieki z tej plyty i co? I pieknie ponad wszystko. Ktos napisal ze to drugi Theorion, ze to Mr. Bungle i jeszce cos. Ja napisze tak, jesli byl ktos w Indiach lub wie cos o tym kraju to wie, ze kazdy kto zobaczyl ten kraj przywiezie ze soba zupelnie inne odczucia i doswiadczenia i nikt nie bedzie w stanie jednomyslnie okreslic tego miejsca. Dlaczego Indie i The Butcher? Bo to niesamowita mieszanka stylow od mocnego grania z operowymi wokalami ze swingowymi wstawkami, z Hammondami jak u Deep Purple ("Poetic..."), bo to bogactwo instrumentow (pojawiaja sie nawet tak egzotyczne instrumenty jak didgeridoo), non stop zmieniajace sie harmonie w utworach. I na koniec tu czuc gypsy i to bogactwo kulturowe, pochcodzace wlasnie z Indii :). Szczerze polecam wszytskim ten album.
