Bravo pour l'atmosphère très new-yorkaise qui se dégage de cet album ! C'est idéal pour travailler/vaquer sereinement à la maison ou partager un bon dîner. Très bon travail.

After being really impressed with Paulo Pavan's first album, I was excited to discover that he was still active and making music. And it seems his craft and skills have only improved with time. While "Inside" was a great album, on of the best I'd found on Jamendo, it felt a little too reserved and at times predictable, not in a bad way, but it was lacking that spark that makes for really vibrant, exciting jazz. It's superb then to hear this album, which finds Paulo experimenting, taking more risks, and playing with a real, tangible passion. The ensemble he plays with are all musician's with great skill and feel, and they all complement each other perfectly (keep an ear out for the drummer too!) All in all, an excellent collection of pieces, and an album that should be listened to by anyone in search of great, well crafted jazz.

Grazie Paolo, non so quale "via d'uscita" tu stia cercando e non so se con questo tuo lavoro tu l'abbia trovata ma di sicuro conosci le strade della musica e con questo disco hai confermato quanto s'intuiva dal primo. Io dalla musica mi aspetto solo che mi emozioni e la tua lo fa. Più di tutte mi sono piaciute "Third" e "In praise of honey rose"

Realmente se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos. pienso que la produccion es de lo mejor que he eschuchado en Jamendo,a la altura de Lyle Mays, sin lugar a dudas un musico de gran calidad,cada uno de los temas a recibido un cuidadoso tratamiento, se percibe una calidad humana y una forma de sentir unica, inspirador de verdad. Très bon jazz. Tous les instruments sont merveilleusement bien joués. Petite affection particulière pour la batterie dans les 3ème et 5ème morceaux, que je trouve géniale. Jeu au balai dans le dernier morceau particulièrement approprié pour installer une ambiance feutrée. J'adore aussi les morceaux 1, 2 et 4. Rien à jeter ! Merci à vous, j'ai passé un merveilleux moment à vous écouter.

Paolo Pavan compose un jazz carré et mesuré qui me fait l'apparenter à Chris Potter, avec parfois des passages d'un romantisme sombre (Slow Change) qui me font penser au trio français 'Prysm'. Quelque chose d'Ahmad Jamal (In Praise of Honey Rose, superbe) dans le toucher pianistique et un saxophoniste ténor qui m'évoque parfois Wayne Shorter (Third) font vraisemblablement de ce groupe une des valeurs sures du jazz actuel.

Jazz is always good for everything:) this albuim is pretty nice, easy listening.
