Les falaises des Dogons sont-elles toujours aussi mythiques que dans les récits anthropologiques de Germaine Dieterlen et les documentaires de Jean Rouch ? La vague écotouristique a-t-elle bouleversé tout cela ? Je ne sais ! Quant à la musique, avec l'apport de nouveaux instruments, elle s'est graduellement métissée comme dans la plupart des pays. Ambassadeur musical de l'ethnie Dogon au même titre que la chanteuse Déné Issébéré. Ces musiciens et chanteurs maliens distillent une musique rythmée aux larges variations sonores. Merci à Daisylis pour l'invitation et à Youssouf pour ce partage qui m'a fait plonger dans mes souvenirs.

And also so much to read about him and his group . . . so I was curious and checked out information regarding his motherland . . . I appreciate, very much, the informative shares he gave about himself and his group . . . it makes me feel more connected, more invested in the group. . . I am a new fan! It would be nice though, if the lyrics were explained so that we understand what the songs are about . . Love? Revenge? War? . . . The music is warm and energizing . . . the overall sound is beautiful and intriguing . . . "ambadji" gave me a sweet heartache . . like listening to something that resonates with my soul . . . something sentimental, maybe plaintive . . I could hear the heart beat of the musicians . . the soul of the singer . . so beautiful!

Je suis assez fasciné par ces musiques "ethniques" sans pour autant entrer dedans complétement. TINARIWEN me fait le même effet et pourtant j'y retourne. Peut être que mon esprit est trop occidental et peut être qu'un jour mon appréciation changera.
