complex, with almost no central melody, somehow uneasy.

Rock- jazz de aquel que antes se llamaba progresivo, sonidos cosmicos tipo Yes y solidez de los ultimos tiempos de King Crinson, mezclados con mucha profusión de sintetizadores, podria valer como banda original de una película. Se deja oir Robert Fripp por todo ese entramado.
Il paragone con i DreamTheater di Awake è d'obbligo in questo caso, tanta sperimentazione e libertà nel suono. Ad ogni passo esce Jazz (For a small audience - Eccezionale! Sembra uscito direttamente da Liquid Tension Experiment 1!), Rock (Ultimavera), classica (Violated), sperimentale (Deep Space scanning - programmatore? :)) tutto condito suppongo da tanto lavoro di post produzione al PC.
Non sto ad elogiare la bravura nello suonare basso e batteria, non serve poichè è inequivocabile, ma ad elogiare il numero dei membri di questo "gruppo"... una sola persona e un Album cosi'! ripeto: Grande!

I have mixed feelings about this. Some tracks sound sometimes very decent and have pretty ascetic arrangement: for example the first piece reminds of experimental ambient from 60's. Nevertheless - these tunes are interesting and the entire album is various: every track has something different to offer. Jazz, orchestral, rock - it's a mixture of well known genres.
I must also complain about quality of sound. "Ultimavera" for example is very differential in this case: the first part sounds very muffled - the waveband is not fully filled. Only when part after middle comes, the very high and low tones are being unleashed. It happens also in other pieces. The instruments play sometimes in the different spaces what isn't good sign for me, even if it was planned.
Definitely for me the best tracks are these with some orchestral or jazzy stuff, the composition is mostly good and interesting. Also acoustic colours of waves or - to be more accurate - mix of them is pretty unusual.

Ein schönes NewAge/Electro-Album. Sehr experimentell, erinnert ein wenig an Tangerine Dream und auch Kraftwerk.
Der Opener "Symphony for a dead planet" erinnert anfangs sehr an Animes von Leiji Matsumoto - man sieht förmlich die Arcadia hinter einem Planeten hervorkommen und hat im weiteren Verlauf des Stücks den Weltraum aus Leijis Sicht im Sinn.
"For a small audience" ist mal was ganz anderes, auch leiji-esque. Passt gut zum Bordleben auf der Arcadia.
Die zwei nächsten Tracks erinnern sehr an die frühen Synthi-Experimente von Kraftwerk und Tangerine Dream. Muss man mögen, sonst kommt man nicht ran. Ich mag's ;)
"Sit alone in a dark room" sollte man am besten unter freiem Himmel in einer sternklaren Nacht bei Vollmond hören, und mit Freund/Freundin zusammen rücken, sofern vorhanden.
Einen überraschenden Abschluss macht der letzte Track namens "Violated" - er knüpft musikalisch an den vorherigen an, aber ich stelle mir da unmittelbar die Trennung einer Beziehung vor, wenn ich den Piano-Part höre.
Alles in allem ein vielseitiges, empfehlenswertes Album für die jenigen, die mit verträumter new-Age-Musik und Synthi-Experimenten á la Tangerine Dream etwas anfangen können.

Ma quì siamo davvero ad alti livelli! Non è certo di facile ascolto ma probabilmente non vuole esserlo. Complimenti a tutti i musicisti: davvero strepitosi.
