Previously a chiptune/breakcore artist, Nostalgic Story's Six Years Too Many is different from his former works. Described by others as 'eerie, mysterious, dream like, ambient and optimistic'.

SYTM was composed entirely on a Tenori-On synthziser - an electronic instrument created by Electroplankton creator Toshio Iwai.
