Listen to this man speaking through his guitar and don't miss a word, because he knows what he's saying.

Absolutely fantastic the way almost easy, how this guitarist gets to us, with his music. And he makes it look so easy and natural, that there's no other possibility apart from loving it. A very personal style, even on tracks like "Blue butterfly" where the similarity with Santana is all too evident.

I love Persson's warm, expressive guitar - whatever he plays - be it rock, blues, jazz or experimental, or boogie, you can tell that he loves that guitar. He gives his guitar 'voice'. It drives the gorgeous melodies, tells the story, and sings to our hearts. Both the first track, "What a Duck" and the last, "Kick out the Boogie" were very lively and upbeat - fun - here I am, home sick, and I felt like dancing!? "Sunshine" was such a lovely tune, bluesy, sweetly yearning. The guitar had exceptional 'voice' with its reaching and sweeping and talking. Loved "Empty Book"s guitar which seemed to be sadly protesting that emptiness. "Lost and Gone" is just beautiful. Its worth checking out the "You Tube" video. Life is full of sad goodbyes. Persson's music is so exceptionally good.

Danke Jens-Uwe

Wonderful job on guitar and the whole thing is awesome. Footnotes: 1. I would prefer not that much of keyboard. It isn't as raw as the guitar, so... 2. Lost and Gone remainds me of Streets of London (cover by Blackmore's Night).

"Lost and Gone" is one of my favorite electric guitar melodies of this musician . . . a perfect blend of sentiment and hope . . . always looking upward and outward . . . a warm and personable piece . . . Whenever I want to get moving I pull out one of PERSSON's albums and set it to play and I never get tired of the energy these songs impart . . . and not a one of them misses a note with me . .. what I should do is play them all day and then maybe I'll get more fit and healthy with all the moving I will do . . . hmmm . . love that "Kick out the boogie" . . . it fills every nook and corner of my home with the astonishingly energetic guitar . . and brings me back to the rock concerts I attended in my youth . . . outdoors and under the sunshine with a lot of other screaming fans of music . . . its a happy golden memory . . . All of the other pieces on this album are old favorites of mine too . .. just depending on the day and the emotional needs . . . I will listen and then decide on a different favorite for the moment . . . Good stuff like this is always timeless . . . and unfailingly enjoyable . . .

Yes this is Eguitar played at top level by a Master of the subject and a must for jazz-blues-rock fans! What I like especially on this album is the own style, except for track 6 “Blue Butterfly” that remember me strong at Santana but this is very well done and what I personally see as a compliment! I have no direct favourites all the all tracks please me very well, except as I said before track 6 and track 9 “Jazzy traffic jam” is very beautiful and pleasantly light liquid and rhythmic, even a bit as I say, aperitif jazz:) Thanks for sharing. C.J.
