About the title: “We need to turn our dreams into reality, to believe we can do anything and go for it. We were born to be winners even if the world tries to show us otherwise. Realize represents another step in my career. Always going on, searching for continuous evolution”, comments the artist.
Realize reveals the sweetness in his reflections and the musicality of an artist that fights for peace, persistence, friendship, love and hope, noble feelings that are always present in Anderson Chokolate’s poetry. In each track you can find the honesty with which the artist sings his messages, allowing reflection and joyful moments to the listener.
Following the example of artists such as Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, David Gray, Jack Johnson and Eagle Eye Cherry, his songs are greatly influenced by the steel guitar. The chords’ simplicity provides a better understanding of the messages in the songs and values the vocals. Anderson Chokolate adds the Brazilian spice to rhythms like Rock, Folk, R’nB and Reggae.
Anderson also co-produced this album along with Marcelo Indy’s guidance, responsible for the recording and mixing of the brazilian hardcore band Dead Fish, one of the most respected groups in the underground music scene. This choice was not by chance, ever since he listened to the Sonho Médio album, Chokolate knew that one day he’d work with Marcelo, his friend since the beginnings of Java Roots. Relize was recorded at Dourados Studio, the same place where the first Dead Fish albums were made.
The cover and booklet graphics were created as to give an impression of an old long play record. The idea and concept were also his. The pictures were taken by his personal friend and well-known and respected brazilia photographer Tadeu Bianconi.
Realize also has special participations from friends, such as Renato Casanova (Casaca) and Alexandre Lima (Manimal), who co-wrote and performed at the song Uma Mesquita Sob O Sol, the song Canções Pro Além features Fred Nery (Macucos / Naturau) and was composed by Anderson Chokolate, Amaro Lima and Alexandre Lima, among others who lent their talents in a friendly come-together.
An album to celebrate life through music and seed love inside yourself, a feeling vital to human evolution. Realize!
Nave Mãe is my love song to Mrs. Miriam and to all the women that have taken with responsibility the nobility of being a mother. As much as he tries, a man is not able to carry in his heart such a love. And since I myself can’t either, I wrote this song. It’s the first track because it’s about the first event in our lives, the birth.
A Escola is about a man’s conflict facing the certainty of a woman’s feeling. When a woman loves, it’s the real deal. It can scare the man sometimes. This is what this song is about.
Life is an emotional roller coaster! With it we learn to overcome our fears and to strength our hope for better days. So that can happen you need to work a lot. This is a consolation song, a friendly word in tough days.
This is one of my favorites! This song was inspired in the soul music by an American singer, Maxwell, and his sexy style. It’s a about a man that confess being in love but is doubtful. I enjoy writing about love conflicts because they also help us grow.
Uma Mesquita Sob o Sol is about “pure and truthful” love. Love here is treated as na universal love, “that moves the whole world”. Something so big that it can’t be explained, only felt. Man is its temple. Its mosque.
A poem about the charms of a beautiful and mysterious gipsy woman.
My love song about loving life, about friendship and about everything that is truly positive. Because the rose exhales the perfect scent of tomorrow that I wish to all of us, says the song.
Eureca is a chronic finished on that tragic September 11, 2001. It questions the “happiness of having something”, so common nowadays. That’s why I ask: “What now that we have arrives? Where to go?”. Is it what we really need? This is worthy reflecting about.
This is a very spiritual song. Spirituality is the album’s main message. Quando Amanhecer talks about faith in a bigger force, someone that leads peace. It’s up to each one to listen to it and understand what it’s about.
This song brings up the classic and tireless human questioning: “Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going to?”. In my opinion everything has its own time, but to understand it right we need time.
Man. The sea. Love. The daily struggle to conquer a woman and her sweet delights. The victory. It’s also about fishing and the search for food. An homage to the life by the sea and also to the people of Espírito Santo. my country.
Just like the first track, Canções Pro Além wasn’t chosen to be the last track by chance. It brings closure to this album with optimism and joy.
May hope always be alive in our hearts and music keep being the link between people from all over the world!
That’s it!

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
