I get the distinct impression of dungeons, illusions, enchantment, fables and tales to be told from this album. It is portentous, powerful and bewitching, and definitely spellbinding, so listen at your own risk. This is wonderful music with a distinct theme. Gotard has carved out a niche for himself with his unique music. It is very pleasant to the ears. It takes you places - to castles, mysteries, fairy tales; with the old-world music style, electronic instrumentals, and the ambient sounds these tracks are marvelous. I see his music as if it were one of those gigantic tapestries woven to be hung in a stone castle with a story to be garnered from its many threads. There is a lot of superior artistry in this work. I am in awe!
