About this album

  • Updated: 21/05/2007

"Eightysix" is a compilation of experimental instrumental and predominantly electronic loop-based tracks. It follows a completely different direction in theme than "Degree of Focus" (2002). It features works composed throughout the starfirefive's history as a band (1998-2004) and includes many of the base tracks that were not fully developed on the previous album.

The tracks of this album are published under a Creative Commons licence, check the licence associated to each track.

Primitive compositions and sounds. I must say there were relatively successful compositions, like the 11th and 12th tracks, but the cheap sound really spoiled them.

Really good electronic instrumentals. I wonder if the title 'eightysix' is a reference to the classic electro sound this album executes flawlessly? The first track caught my attention and others I really enjoyed were 3, 4, 10 and 11.
On The Mission From God

the right tag should be ''dark wave electro'', but still a fine back-to-the-80's album with superb album's art-work
