About this album

  • Updated: 21/05/2007

Songs of stars, of life support and balancings: the starfirefive's third (and limited) release, "All Lyrics Are Lies" overflows with raw emotionality, on one hand conveying the band's familiar desperation for lost loves ("It Never Ends"), on the other, the raw edges of aggression ("[There Is No] Revolution").

The album features a remix of the previously released "Parallel" (Degree of Focus, 2002) and two instrumental tracks: the convoluted "Nothing Like Progress" and the thematic "Critical Stop".

The tracks of this album are published under a Creative Commons licence, check the licence associated to each track.

And how can they, since they are born from the deepest, purest darkness of the soul and the mind, from the very essence of feelings and experiences... This album is rather raw material (with distinct references to Depeche Mode), but I wonder whether some more elaboration would actually do it any good. I like the sound of the voice, and the lyrics don't look so much like lies to me. In spite of the title, there is truth in these songs and the unmistakable indications of something really interesting, that only needs time to blossom and reveal its beauty.
