In her first solo project, “Da Raiz ao Chip”, Tata Accioly combines her sound experiences, which are being renovated with bases in a profound research of the regional Brazilian music, Folklore, and ancestral drums. Original compositions with electronic bases and original arrangements, which form a rich sound, whose essence involves artistic manifestations, Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous elements, and ritualistic tonalities, mixed with synthetic beats of electronic music, grooves and experimentation.
“Da Raiz ao Chip” is a mixture of psycodelicaly transformed maracatu and coco, creating a Drum & Bass sound. “Da Raiz ao Chip” symbolizes exactly this, an organic sound, extracted from any instrument or object starts taking a new form through softwares, recreating and transforming their original aspects. Through these ideas we have reached the “electronic roots”, like a jam session of rural farmers using their shovels, axes, and knives as musical instruments, or even indigenous rituals harmonically programmed with computerized beats.
