About this album

This is the first album we released and is part of a mass media communications experiment.

It was recorded over a period of 2 years and uses a kurzweil sampler, JX305, SP 12 drum, drumatic drum machine, sequential circuits pro 1 and 600, TB 626, 4 track recorder, 8 track otari, roland jx3p, kawai k1, tascam mixer and a few other machines as well as a busted plastic toy guitar and various sampled effects.

It was first played for a church group on easter sunday at a neighbors request: the silence was defeaning but many came to say 'thank you' as the others stared at us in what appeared to be sheer dismay. This is an example of a starting point for actually organising sound into somthing you may have heard or ignored. The sound quality is not hi fidelity as this is a definite low tek effort with a lot of energy going into the album. We went to a pro studio in Eugene, Oregon and had the album mixed on a 48 track board that was bought after the engineer did a tour with Rush.

Thanks for listening!

Heavily influenced by Berlin school, but also very unique. The sensitivity was not overwhelmed by technology, the inspiration didn't kill the innovation. I would say this music resembles Tangerine Dream from late 70s in a good way. The sound is not always nice and sweet, but that was also the main advantage of TD (which disappeared later). I can't say which piece is better, also because this album should be considered as a whole. I would strongly recommend it to everyone who happens to wonder, why we don't we have more things like "Stratosphear" nowadays.

Ambient and Evolving

Very nice ambient opening which definitely reminds me of some 'Ron Boots' with the slowly evolving ambience and light textural sequencer patterns.A little 'Tangerine Dream' like elsewhere with a very good display of 'Froesian' moods. It's all right up my alley! Just how spacey ambient sequential electronica should be. A splendid alum! Well done!!
