Love the concept - I'm big on wings - also this fine rock, that guitar playing and good vocals. . . I also just adored the album cover. The second track, "Metamorphosis" had a nice bubbly sound to the music which gave it quite a pleasant lift. "Brainstorm" was more of a hard rock tune. Over-all this guy is pretty good.

Roots...

Certainly a return to roots... but perhaps more precisely an elaboration of the ideas always held by the artist. Possibly worth thinking of more as a 'Wings' single + B-sides, the jerky drums and beach-boy-homage vocals certainly point to the title track being the lead. However, the patience ambience of 'Metamorphosis' is a delightful, understated piece, which acts as an excellent bridging piece into the next song. 'Brainstorm' could perhaps be viewed as a development of the themes visited in 'CardShark', a previous track by the artist, with its heavy, crunch guitar riffs. Certainly an area where the artist feels comfortable, and it shows. It will certainly be interesting to see how the artist develops these ideas in future releases - in the more divulgent setting of a full album.
