Vocals in the first song are pretty good. I like the instrumental as well. As for the vocals, I would have rather heard some effects to mix it up a bit. Based on the sounds of the music I think the vocals come off somewhat bare. They are good though, no mistaking that. The quality of recording for the vocal is excellent! Most of the songs in this album are slow and even have somewhat of an R&B sound going for them. It's a very interesting album anyway. Try it out.

My Poor Ida veröffentlicht mit #2 ein weiteres feines Stück elektronischer Musik aus dem Kulturkessel Berlin. Allen Stücken gemein ist die schöne Stimme der Sängerin- sehr gefühlvoll und in klasse Tonqualität: Sie schafft den Spagat zwischen zartem Schmelz und harter Dominanz fast so souverän wie Moloko. Begleitet wird sie von durchweg entspannten Beats mit fein strukturierten Synthesizerflächen, Rhodes- Piano- und Klaviersounds. Mir persönlich gefallen "In between Dub" sowie "Underwater World" am besten. Anderen Stücken, speziell "Royal Rest" mangelt es ein wenig an Ecken und Kanten- sie kommen zu gefällig daher, wenn man mal auf hohem Niveau meckern darf.
