Cette tendance électro hip-hop entraînante, planante et optimiste me convient parfaitement. C'est du moins l'impression que j'ai eue et qui se dégage lorsque l'on écoute l'intégralité de ce volet pour la toute première fois ! Une musique qui peut aussi bien s'apprécier en lisant chez soi que lors d'une balade en forêt (par exemple)... A noter au passage mon coup de coeur pour la plage n°15 et son mystérieux tempo. Un opus plus élaboré (dans le sens plus personnel) et plus profond que le premier. J'ai un peu l'impression d'écouter un disque du label Warp par moment, ce qui n'est pas pour me déplaire loin de là !! Pour terminer, une petite remarque : dommage que toutes ces belles musiques ne soient pas titrées. Serait-ce dans le but de mieux nous faire vagabonder et travailler notre imaginaire ? Allez savoir...

Wonderful sounds to start with 10, then layers of noise are added and bolster the piece of music industrially. It develops nicely with a slight change in pace and tone. Slowing towards, the end, almost out-of-breath, but it persists and succeeds in every with all variables ticked. 11 barren and desolate to start, all of which intensifies into a rhythm, bass and beat and snare even, kick in and the churning of musical machinery carries on building this lovely structure of noises. In the middle we are left with barely the melody that has emerged, like a dark moth from its traumatic chrysalis. As the 'moth' unfurls its' wings it shows a talent for simple lo-fi minimalism. Wicked track as it spreads its wings and flies! 12 back to the desolation atmosphere and deep bass melody, slow and foreboding. Synths begin to blend there way in and then a nice, easy drum beat, with bursts of additional noise. It's a jigsaw well put together. But it keeps getting bigger, then smaller, then bigger again... Brilliant track. 13 nice electrical rhythm, soon surrounded by deep strings and then accompanied by a drum layer, finally given its' sense of periphery. Within these boundaries, sounds and noises resound suitably given the essence of the track. Which is a dark, relentlessness, until the last third which gives itself over to an almost freeform ambience complete with a few shadows. 14 is psychotic from the start, it immediately feels as if it has delved into some dark human cerebral recesses, the buzzing noise being the doctor fixing the victims brain. Beat is added to underline this aural brain operation, then snare rattling away like the surgeons' tools. The babbling of the patient, or even his experience of the whole procedure seems to predominate the whole track as its rhythmic depth despite whatever else goes on, and it works really well. Mental track!-) Then, suddenly blissfulness, the suffering goes on no more, all is well until that beat sneaks back in. What has become of the patient? 15 sounds like a dark ambience is ahead of us, nice open soundscape within seconds, again desolate. Bass makes its' mark and a gentle harmony evolves, waiting for the beat to make its' appearance. Quite mellow even when the snare snaps into the maelstrom of musicality. 16 almost carries on in the same tone, roughly about the same beat and rhythm. This is more industrial ambience for sure with its breaks, and diversification from the musical theme upon each return. Nicely done I think. Love the 'church' organ sounds in both, it's a personal favourite! 17 throbs and crackles through the speakers and the melody creeps up on you, again it's a mellow tune that develops. And a nice one to (almost) finish on. 02 (Ambor Grieko mix) is a reminder of this musics' ultimately industrial nature, ambient but maybe postindustrial? Anyway, as has been said, I could have just said 'brilliant' to everything, but nothing is ever perfect, I being the epitome of that on certain days! All I'm saying is that it works well and is brilliant stuff, I just wanted to wax lyrical!-)

Comme tous les autres travaux de haïku, du son très pro, bien mixé. Avec des sons mi pop, mi indus arrangés en mélodies d'ambiances lancinantes et sales en retrait, qui accompagnent des beats cisaillés et saturés. Une sorte d'indus qui flirt parfois avec l'idm parfois avec de la techno plus classique tout en restant originale. ça me fait penser par instant au label spezial material. Les constructions des morceaux pourraient être plus travaillées, nous emmener plus rapidement à l'essentiel, etoffer la base mélodique, racourcir les transitions, ou dérouter l'auditeur pour l'emmener ailleurs, même si cette évolution "naturelle" est généralement bien conduite (sur 13 et 17 notament) et ajoute une cohérence à l'ensemble de l'album. Globalement c'est du très bon boulot. Avis aux amateurs d'electro brute, intelligente et industrielle.

Like every haiku album, this is filled with diverse and creative synthesised instrumentals. I'm a fan of his (or hers) and is my favourite artist that I've found on Jamendo so far. The mixes for the tracks all sound very full with just the right amount of layering and complexity for my tastes. I could describe in more detail, but I think I'd comment on everything being 'just right'. The only useful thing I can say is that it's definitely worth listening to, and the only album I've given a 10 ^_^
