About this album

  • Updated: 01/04/2010

Voici donc, enfin l'album complet.

"Oh! Ma Koumba…" Nice rocking guitar, very well played! I enjoyed "There in your eyes" the lyrics and the music which was very minimalistic and seemed raw, almost birthing, not quite finished . . . it was quite intriguing and experimental. I love this kind of stuff. I loved the guitar tune in "Canopee" but some of the other sounds along with this basic tune seemed more of a distraction than an attraction. It wasn't bad, though. "Brousse" was some nice experimental noise . . . very bouncy and . . . well cute . . . sounded like bottle's being played . . . minimal with almost pure percussion. I liked that one. "Not too sad" - a nice typical rock tune with some sweet lyrics . . . voice is good here also. Guitar playing was lovely and worked well with the vocals . . . overall a very nice song. "Launchpad Blues" - a humorous blues? I really enjoyed the mouth harp and the minimal percussion . . . the laid back singing - all went well together. "L'oiseau" gorgeous intro with that outstanding guitar, not overplayed, but tempered and lovely . . . and as the other instruments entered the picture and built up, we had a lovely jazzy tune . . . I really liked this one. "Cristal" - electronic poetry, I felt as if I were in a rainforest, alone, listening to the insects, birds and other mysterious life. Beautiful and simple. "Emma" - a fun ballad with some very nice guitar play, and a very nice upbeat tune. "Sticky Dance" - gentle guitar and humming - so sweetly done. Very beautiful. "Lionne" - Nice guitar - very lovely rock tune - well played! "Your brain is a time machine" - spacey and experimental. A little on the noisy side . . . not unpleasant, interesting, not my favorite. It didn't really have a focus and was just somewhat confusing. Over- all - this is a very nice album - with a mixture of genre's - some much better than others. I enjoyed listening to the whole, thank you for sharing your music on Jamendo.
