Once again, as can always be expected of Canoply Games, we have eclectic and evocative soundscapes here! I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

About this album
Canoply Games – it’s experimental one-man project. Project was born in a small Siberian city Bratsk, 2006. Canoply Games – it’s chaotic music, mix of soundscapes, electronic, noises, poetry and sound-art. It happens eclectic and not logical, always keeping spirit of experiment and the protest. Like Merzbow, Svarte Greiner, Muslimgauze, Robert Rich, Coil, Ambient Anarchist, Nurse With Wound, Porn Sword Tobacco.
New conceptual album "Phantoms" are a result of big work, which passed throughout the end 2009, the beginning 2010. Russian poets and artists took part in the project. Voices in tracks - Joseph Brodsky, Nadejda Polyanskaya, Jim Koshin, Joseph К, Platon Terentev.
The author of a cover – Aleksandr Savinov.
In an album used fragments from poems Joseph Brodsky, Haruki Murakami,
Ernest Hemmingway, N. A. Hrenova, and also poem of Jzofefa К. and Jim Koshin.

Musicalement très expérimental, cet album vous hérisse les poils.D'abord parce qu'il n'y pratiquement aucune mélodie et que l'ensemble n'est qu'une suite de sons subtilement agencés.Au premier abord ca surprend(c'est le moindre que l'on puisse dire)et occasionnellement ca rebute.L'effet de surprise passé, on finit par y trouver un certain charme,un envoûtement malgré le sombre et le glacial de cette musique qui évoque très bien ce qu'elle est censé représenter.La pochette est d'une redoutable froideur(couleurs froides).

С.Осипенков..Ну удивил!! Музыка элитарная,не всякий будет слушать.Как впрочем и смотреть арт кино.Мне в этом альбоме понравилось больше "In".

I really liked listening to your music on "Phantoms". Really very inventive and constantly fluid, always changing. There's some really sweet and contrasting aggressive stuff in there.
I'd love to read some english translations of the poems - but the language barrier also adds to the mystery.

J'ignore si la Sibérie a influé sur la musique mais franchement.Musique qui relève plus du cauchemar que du rêve,très expérimentale,très chaotique et tortueuse.Originale en diable mais très dure d'accès et un peu hermétique.
