Here it is at last -- for months, my seventh Jamendo album was simply known as 'VII'.  Then came FAWM (February Album Writing Month), and a blizzard that trapped me in the house.

Out of this came one of my best (and certainly biggest) albums: The Next Age of Adventure.

A grand total of 18 songs -- more than 73 minutes of audio.  An album so big, that I separated it into two parts for my Jamendo release!

This is Part 2.  If you like it, be sure to check out Part 1.

For further information, you can find out more about my music at the following websites:

  • My "Behind the Music" blog on Wordpress.
  • Many of the songs on this album originated during FAWM 2010.
  • Several are remakes of songs that appeared on a "Lost" album of mine, apocrypha.

Bruce, my hat's off to you! You never cease to amaze me.

Merci Bruce

"Sailing into night Time" - Looking right into that sunset and feeling that little bubble of happiness in your chest because everything is so good and you are with your people and they are happy too . . . that's what this music sings to me . . . beautiful guitar. "To Dance in Nameless Places," a sweet romantic piano/guitar melody with warm notes and slow relaxing tempo, a real beauty with this one. "The Last Star Before Daybreak" a tune with a melancholic guitar, sweetly showing us that last star, and the peacefulness that settles over the land just before the sun rises. This beautiful album of instrumental jazz is perfect to relax and listen to as you write that great novel, or paint a masterpiece, write a love letter, or gaze into space and think those deep thoughts and dream, dream peacefully with a gentle smile on your face, dream of visions-of futures-of hope. Exquisite and as beautiful as the gemlike dragonfly.

Just like vol. 1 of 2 - great! Again - though this is coming from a drummer, so feel free to disregard the remark - the only thing I think could be better are the drums :) Like the percussion, though. Anyway, outstanding compositions and smooth production. Especially love those mysterious Strange Lights :) Dreams is also great, superb synths and overall mood. But I guess my favourite track on this album would be Beware the Age of the Machine - after listening to both volumes it was really nice to be stirred up by a bit of distortion :))
