great composer but some instruments sounds like "midi". anyway, Nicoco is pro-musician

thank you just 'nice to listen to cocktailbar jazz' so professionally - big band sound it 'schwings', gets you foot-tapping (bar keeper, another one of those, pleazzze) does 'blue note' know about this? definetely a must, although you heard it before -so what- you probably enjoy hearing it again

Natürlich gilt dieser Musikstil als Hintergrundmusik par excellence. Aber gerade dieses Album nur als solches zu benutzen, wäre viel zu schade. Es macht nämlich Spaß, sich bewußt darauf einzulassen, aufmerksam mitzuhören. Und es ist angenehm abwechslungsreich. Außerdem selten paßt ein Albumtitel wie dieser. Es ist ein Cocktail, der mehr entspannt als berauscht, und sollte er beim Hörer letzteres verursachen, so hinterläßt er am anderen Morgen sicherlich keinen Kater.

Deux mots ne suffisent pas pour dire le plaisir immense que j'ai eu en écoutant cet album,pour moi,un vrai bijou,je suis même jaloux!!! j'aurais tant aimé écrire cette musique,elle contient tout ce que j'aime dans cette musique (le jazz). Chapeau bas .......et Merci.jp

Niemal od pierwszych taktów, muzyka Nicoco skojarzyła mi się z repertuarem Jellowjackets. Wspólnym mianownikiem obu artystów jest zelektronizowane brzmienie niektórych instrumentów i tempo w jakim większość kompozycji pulsuje. Trzeba przy tym dodać, że Nicoco świetnie radzi sobie z wyważeniem dźwięków poszczególnych instrumentów - ani razu na proponowanej płycie nie usłyszałem czegoś, co byłoby sprzeczne za sobą, co kłóciłoby się choćby przez moment. Niezwykła harmonia która relaksuje, ale i nie daje niestety zbyt wielu emocji tak potrzebnych w jazzie. Tej muzyki nie potrzeba się uczyć - wszyscy ją znamy z licznych podkładów telewizyjnych i wizyt w nocnych lokalach. Słychać niemal brzęk szklanek barowych, a klimat udanego wieczoru potrafi przepędzić chmury najgorszego poranka. Wydaje się że seks i dźwięki z "Cocktail" są tak nieodłączne jak Gin z tonikiem. Nie znaczy to oczywiście, że emocji nie ma w ogóle - one są, ale nie liczcie na coś co was zaskoczy - po prostu zasiądźcie wygodnie w swoich fotelach ze szklaneczką burbona i smakujcie niespiesznie to co lubicie.

BLOOMING NORA!!!! Remarkable compositions and big band arrangements . A very diversified Jazzalbum . It swings and it grooves ; melodies and sounds may abduct the listener to high spheres and wide range of the world of jazz . This music has ABSOLUTELY deserved to be played by a real Bigband . Après avoir écouté le cd dans son intégralité je me trouve vraiment déçu et je l'explique.Dans ce genre de musique,le jazz,il doit y avoir de la vie et il n'est pas possible de le faire avec des boites à rythme et des séquenceurs.Quand j'écoute nicoco j'entend une personne qui improvise avec des sons échantillonnés sur des séquences quantisées.Au premier abord les harmonies m'avaient plues mais là,étant un grand amateur de jazz,je dis qu'il faut changer ta manière de faire.
