I just love this album. Personally, it reminds me of the British rock bands of the 60 and 70. Vocals are just awesome and riffs are rocking. If you love rock music, you've got to listen to this COOL album.

Wann hab ich eigentlich das letzte Mal wirklich eine aktuelle Rockplatte gehört? Nicht mehr seit dem letzten Werk der White Stripes vermutlich. Die ganze Szene interessierte mich einfach nicht mehr. Es gibt so viel guten Blues und Soul und verrückte Folker - was soll ich mich da mit Rockscheiben rumärgern, die mir meist nichts sagen? Klingt arrogant? Stimmt, das bin ich manchmal. Aber ich geb's zu: Ich hab mich selten so gern vom Gegenteil überzeugen lassen, wie von "Beyond the Pale" der von Nashville nach Chicago gezogenen Band Welcome to Ashley. Selten allerdings gab's einen böseren Opener für eine Platte wie "What A Day it Was for Dying", eine dunkle dunkle Story über Drogen und/oder Alkohol. Und der Sound erinnert ein wenig an The Smith. Was schon mal ein Vorteil ist, um mich bei der Stange zu halten. Und wer hat schon die Chuzpe, drüber zu singen, die Montagmorgen zu lieben? Hier sind vier junge Menschen, die Rockmusik wirklich noch als ein Mittel begreifen, den Alltag in den Griff zu bekommen und das mit einer Ehrlichkeit, die mitnimmt. Da gibt es kein gewollt schräges Image, keine Anbiederung an irgendwelche Trends (nein, kein bisschen Americana oder Afrobeat, no Sir, just Rock!). Und das ist eine Haltung, die im Rock selten geworden ist. Dass diese Platte bei Jamendo veröffentlicht wurde, kann für die freie Musikszene nur gut sein - selten genug gibt es so hochklassige Veröffentlichungen hier, die durchaus radiotauglich und zielgruppenkompatibel sind. Ich jedenfalls hab seit dem Bluesrock von Hot Fiction oder den holländischen Silence Is Sexy lang nichts vergleichbares aus der Rockecke gefunden. Eine klare Hör- und Downloadempfehlung. Die Band kann noch ganz groß werden.

Nice to see, something that reminds me of home. Britpop, with neat, strong compelling, charismatic vocals and good story telling lyrics. And great music that stimulates, comforters and entertains you as well. As you sit back and relax and take on board this great indie, rock,with a touch of pop as well added to the mix, band that has a great attitude and style for this type of album. Great for chilling with as you drive in the car on the fast land of the motorway.. Or chilling with friends in your room. Having a laugh and cigarette and a few cans of beers with this playing in the background. Or even after a hard days work. When you come home from work, kick your shoes off and have a can of beer and this blasting from your speakers in your house.. ps great guitar music, good solid catchy, cool riffs and solos. Let alone a decent drummer to boot as well heard. Out with each and every track being great in general..
