About this album

  • Updated: 11/05/2010

Part one of Perplex Junkyard, entitled "ROCK-HARD CRUST".

This is a heavy one (considering the transience of PJ II), as you can judge by cover. Yin.

Here's main cover anyway: http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/4075/covermain.jpg

With subtle flavours that remind me of the magical Messiaen to Philip Glass, I cannot help but be mightily impressed with xneon's creative output. So, what does this output add up to? The Perplex series is extenuated into the 'junkyard' archives. There is a great amount of utility in the whole concept of the junkyard, it has been at the forefront of recycling, which is now so prevalent and apparently sustainably correct. This draws into focus the utility, or should I say the perplexity? That in itself, is sufficient for me to warrant taking the time to become involved with a further, wonderful array of sound constructions. As for my liking, all the relevant components are here, there and everywhere. It is not so simple, perhaps... A junkyard presentation provokes a certain demand for an specialised ingenuity, assuming of course that you are at least motivated enough to make something of it all, or at least some part. Something like declination indeed! There is a wealth of creativity here, that's one of the things that makes it all a special experience. The factorization is inclined in a beneficial ratio.
