I agree with the review that said this not my kinda music. The first time I listened to these songs I wasn't sure I liked them, but there was something going on that caused me listen again. I'm sure glad I did. This is a very good album. If you don't like these songs, LISTEN AGAIN!!!
Not exactly my kinda music but i had a great time sitting back, relaxing and listening to this album.
I think i'll keep it in my playlist for quite a while ;-)
Well done and a great and clear voice !
Thx for sharing

Loads of influences here, from Joss Stone to Cascada and La Roux . This sounds like a contemporary of Breathe by Blu Cantrell , that era of hip-hop soul, fine tuned for electro. Harmonies are superlative and production values are chart, at least chart of about 5 or 6 years ago- but I can't say that it sounds particularly dated, more that they don't seem to make these sort of records any more.
A lot of effort has obviously gone in to this work. It's one of the better Jamendo releases and as such sees the gap between free and commercial music narrow.

if i could rate your album any higher i would, your sound is just so fresh and fun and the lyrics are grate
the first song i ever heard off this album was "GhostBoy" and i was hooked i got it as soon as the song ended, and once the first "Laziness" came out of my headphones i fell in love with the song and haven't looked back sense
i think the main reason i love your music and voice so much is the fact that i grew up listening to a mix of music a lot of witch being moetown, jazz, blues, R&B all of the grate female singers were and still are my favorites. and your music has a bit of that flair and just makes the listener feel good
i really wish i can hear some of these songs live one day i think they would sound even better then they do recorded, you know what your doing and it shows i really can't wait to hear more from you
I was listening to the songs thinking I might download the album then I heard "Ghostboy" and I knew I HAD to download the album. "Aquanue" is really great, too. I dig the whole thing and really love her voice. I know I'm going to make all the gay guys at work jealous because I found her before they did!:)
Great job, Malika! Thanks for sharing the album with us.
When I first listened to her music, I didn't care for it, in fact, I turned it off. I just couldn't get into it and saw no reason to listen if I couldn't get into the music.
Later, I decided to give her a second go. When I listened to her the second time, I couldn't believe I'd dismissed her so quickly! It may have taken two listens, but she is an amazingly talented person, and I'm glad I decided to listen a second time.
