Spread The Spirit has been recorded in just 10 hours, @ Frequenze Studio, Monza, Italy, by Matteo Agosti, in June 11th 2005. The total recording cost was 200 euro.
The tracks were all recorded live, doing just 2 takes for each song and choosing the best. No other overdubs were done, except for vocals and backing vocals. We took aprox 3 hours to do all the live recording. By this point in only an hour, all the vocals (and backing vocals on Tormented) were ready.
The mixing phase was the hardest, since the guitars were really distorted and the song were very 'dynamic', so we didn't want to miss a single bit of sound. The result was great: guitars maintaing their tones, drums and bass pumping.
Vocal parts were mixed adding very faded chorused reverb on every song, maintaining the original 'harsh surface' of the pre-mix version.
Our intention was not to do 'magic tricks' in the mix and master phase, keeping the indie-harsh attitude to our sound, being sincere to our live performaces sound. Master only added small bits of compression (often tube compressor were used on the guitar amp mikes in the recording session) on the overall sound. Mix phase took almost 6 hours.
Spread the Spirit is circuling since june 12th 2006 on the net, with free cd copies we realized, & in many oher ways. It will be published now in 2007 on the spanish net-label site Trastienda, www.trastienda.org
The title, Spread the Spirit, comes from a dream i had in wich a scared woman shouted me to "spread the spirit" seeing my black t.shirt featuring the face of a 'certain kurt everyone knows' changing the text written on it (strange senseless things were written and they continued changing in front of this old woman). The sense, homewever, it's our intention to spread the istinct of playing and experimenting with freedom-influenced music.
Last thing to say, the cd cover is a color modified photo of an incision on a terracotta plate our drummer Bicio has made - he said us it was inspired to something that linked his life prior the band to the band itself - mystery..

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
