Hot on the heels of their debut EP, Cambridgeshire's Cut By Ice are proud to present their first full-length album Twisted Words.

Casting their musical scope more broadly than ever before, the band take listeners on a wildly divergent journey from gentle, introspective acoustic moments to apocalyptic all-out sonic assaults.

Along the way, the 11 main tracks take their cues from genres as varied as electronica, trip-hop, ska and even a bit of finger-pickin' country.

Yet despite their experimental approach, they've avoided getting bogged down in naval-gazing pretentiousness. Even in its more unorthodox moments - and it's got more than a fair few - the record never loses its laser-like focus on catchy melodies and solid songwriting.
The finished result is a consistent, exciting and downright rocking album that flows beautifully from start to finish.

Grunge isn't really my favorite genre, but your merging of different sounds is very interesting.

Cet album alternative rock n'a pas eu le succès qu'il mérite aussi je le recommande chaudement aux amateurs du genre .Merci à Leggless de m'avoir recommandé cette perle oubliée dans les méandres Jamendiennes .

Spero che quest'album salga parecchio nelle classifiche. Dovrei essere il primo a recensirlo, e mi auguro di non essere l'ultimo. Il lavoro è curato, c'è grande fantasia, ricordi della migliore tradizione di gruppi storici degli anni Settanta. Ne raccomando a tutti l'ascolto: può piacere indipendentemente dai gusti musicali di ognuno.

Même si ce style musical n'est pas mon genre de prédilection, il faut reconnaître en toute honnêteté et objectivité que c'est vraiment très bien fait. J'aime beaucoup la voix. Merci à Leggless pour la recommandation.

Mit den Tags haben sie ein bisschen übertrieben. Grunge kommt zwar vor, Alternativrock, Ska, folkloristische Melodien, groovender Brit-Pop, Electro-Pop-Sprengsel, Psychedelica im Sinne früher Pink Floyd oder Spät-80-er Psychedelia-Bands ... man kann viel rein interpretieren! Die Musik ist super, der Sound nicht immer. Insbesondere der Gesang hätte liebevoller eingebettet werden können. Alles etwas dumpf abgemischt und etwas zu viele Effekte draufgeprügelt - so wie weiland bei den Spät-80-er Psychedelia-Bands (da wären wir wieder). Dass ich dennoch 9 Punkte vergebe liegt an der außergewöhnlichen Musik. Gefällt mir sehr! Dank an Legless für die Empfehlung!
