There is a lot of identical-sounding electronic music around these days. Only a few giants like Fennesz really stand out. Add Conny Olivetti to that list. Olivetti's music successfully conveys emotion and builds mental images in your mind. His grounding and extensive knowledge of vintage electronic music, Krautrock and progressive rock gives him a wider sonic palette to work from than most. These tracks are chock-full of interesting musical ideas. Listen to the creepy-crawly sounds of "Fünf Kameraden", the sweet melodies of "Sentimental Song" or the dance-floor-ready "Shake It" and you'll be convinced that you are in the presence of an electro master. The sound of this LP is clear and professional. This is a superfine effort.

Between good, average and boring sometimes

Always funny to see how opinions differs from one people to another ^^. I discovered this album (and artist) following the strong review of King Feeb, thinking ''waw, looks like something i really have to listen to!''. But i'm really disappointed. Yes, the production is really good (a little bit too clean for my tastes) and clearly Mr Olivetti knows his electronic music, that's for sure. But i didn't find a lot of originality here. The influences are so transparent that it's a little bit uncomfortable. The rythms are very classical and average, some melodies are kinda cheesy and sometimes too "lift-music" for my ears. Don't get me wrong, i still think that it's a good electronic work, but originality? Not here. I really dislike how the voices samples are used. It's even kinda soporific. Let's say, it's a good album for people who likes average and pretty sage and easy listening electronic music. I hope i'm not offending anyone saying that. Hey, it's just my opinion, and it's true that i'm more interested in real experimental music. (i kinda like the track ''Harmonia"... good sounds... but again these cheesy rytmhs..)
