Bon il fallait un trublion dans ce concert de louanges et ce sera moi. Je vais me faire pourrir mais tant pis. Mettons les choses au point de suite. Oui PeerGynt est bon guitariste. Quand on fait de la guitare instrumentale c'est un minimum. Ce qui me dérange c'est le manque de personnalité de tout cela. Je suis un fan de guitare instru est une bonne part de ma discothèque en est composée. Des titres comme ceux de cet album j'en ai déjà entendu des dizaines et des dizaines. Des plans de guitare repris par moult guitaristes depuis 20 ans, de la célérité dans les descentes de gammes mais ça reste de la descente de gamme, où est la prise de risque dans tout ça? De même, le son et le jeu de guitare, s'ils sont tout les deux très propres, ne billent pas par une grande originalité. J'aime quand on peut reconnaitre un guitariste rien qu'à son jeu et à son son et ce n'est pas le cas ici. Enfin, la (sur)productivité de PeerGynt n'est pas pour moi un gage de qualité, au contraire. Dans le shred les plus prolixes sont rarement les plus originaux. (cf Joe Stump) Bref tout ça est propre mais ronronne trop et est trop convenu pour emporter mon adhésion. Cela peut constituer une entrée en matière pour découvrir le genre et si vous aimez grattez un peu le sujet. Vous verrez qu'il existe des guitaristes qui proposent des univers nettement plus personnels et riches. Je ne crierai donc pas au génie ici.

'Passion and Blood', is Track #11 of 14 from the album and is a Instrumental-Latin Rock(Ethnic)-Dance Crossover. This is a very Latin/Spanish composition(Spanish as in Spain not Caribbean or Mexican)and is somewhat reminiscent of the Style of Carlos Santana but that is where the similarity ends. Cool Drum Beats lead into a Sparkling Latin Piano Riff which is only the Beginning of the Fiesta to Come! A Sultry Electric Guitar Solo nearly brings a tear to eye( Traditionally Acoustic Guitar or Brass esp Trumpet would likely have performed this solo) it is both Spicy and Sweet. You will not want to sit still as the piece plays as it becomes Uber Danceable. Caliente(HOT)is what this song is. Stop reading and start downloading. :D
