Rendezvous Park: anything but hopeless -single

Written and performed by Mikael Nousiainen & Kai Kousa

With its majestically distorted guitars and crystal clear piano melodies "anything but hopeless" is one of the key tracks in the musical drama of Rendezvous Park's debut album "The Days You Didn't Notice".

The album is now available for purchase on Broken Leaves Records.

"Anything but hopeless" is a long song, over 10 minutes, but it doesn't get boring at all (I think I know what long songs are about... check An Eternal Sunset: EscAlator). There is sooo much to find in this music, so much variation, so many similarities with other music. The last thing you can say, is that this is a copycat exercise! It has a nice main theme and it keeps you listening. It's beautifully layered towards a climax. It all fits together perfectly. But I miss the point in ...Leaves. It al start well with the piano and the guitar and then the water comes... and comes, and comes again, and leaves... But it takes a bit too long in my opinion. I would have chosen a different 2nd track.
