I discovered Jamendo on a whim, finding their app on my iphone. After signing up, then doing some searching and cross-referencing, I discovered Psychocean. This album made me a Jamendo addict. I figured, if there's other albums out there on this site that are this good, then I need to keep searching. Honestly, I've yet to find an album as good as "Luminescence" on Jamendo. This album is rock solid, start to finish. It's creative progressive rock, reminiscent of Tool, and the heavier moments of Demians or Oceansize. Lots of odd time signatures (5/4 and 7/4, in particular), and the melodic movements are catchy. My wife has even commented on how much she likes this CD, and she typically doesn't like progressive music. So I believe that this album will certainly have crossover appeal to hard rock and metal fans, as well, so long as the length of the songs isn't an obstacle. Being a Yes and Dream Theater fan, long songs don't bother me, though I can see where they might inhibit the casual listener from enjoying it. And they'd be missing out. Be happy you've stumbled upon this record!

Awesome ... Original ... Refreshing ... Vocals ... Guitar work ... Bass work ... Drum work ... Ambiance ... Key Changes ... Effects ... Album ... Awesome Band ... and BEST of all ... It sounds like ... Psychocean !!! I have many different favorite artists , sometimes from the same spectrum or side of a genre . Psychocean has now become one of them . Although I have more or less almost given up on this genre . Because there ARE indeed Tool Clones ... A lot of them . This band is NOT one of them . They have an original sound to me . And they are outstanding . Although I am not too sure about the psychedelic tag on this LP, I won't complain . This is just really awesome music that will take up more of your time than you would think ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to anyone into progressive hard rock.

Exzellentes Album.

As melhores faixas são Meridian Zero, Opalescence, Luminescence e as surpreendentes Faceless the King e Luminescence Twin.
