On time with Christmas we have a very special delicacy for all EGOamp fans: "The Cabinet EP". On this release you will find the awesome coverversion of the famous New Wave underground hit "The Cabinet" by the british band "Das Kabinette", which gained attention on various underground samplers and in the clubs.

Remixers from Russia, France, Argentina and Spain delivered their interpretations of the hit, making it to their song. The free download will be refined with the exclusive remix of "Egomanic Maniacs" and the much sought after REIZstrom-remix of "The Camera", both of them tracks off of the upcoming album "Welcome to the Cabinet", to be released in Spring 2011.

The tracks of this album are published under a Creative Commons licence, check the licence associated to each track.

This is a very sophisticated gothic-ish wave-y EP with only one song, but a bunch of remixes of this song. It's noticable, that there were not much of experiments with the general style of the song in the remixes which I considered a pity. I would have enjoyed some remixes using the song but heading to other genres which might make the EP a bit less coherent, but therefore much more versatile.

Jeder der auf die alten Alben von The Eternal Afflict oder die Scheiben von Din [A] Tod steht wird hiermit auch glücklich werden. vorallem der Gesang verbreitet eine unglaubliche Atmiosphäre

Wer Auf musik Steht, die teilweise eine etwas Gruselige Stimmung verbreitet, der muß sich unbedingt dieses Album anhören. Sehr gut gemacht und auch sehr schöne Musik
