About this album

  • Updated: 03/12/2005
Premier album.

music for the train.....

A confirmer??

The Intro is like preparing for a major operation, anything could happen from here! Beatmaster is master of itself well enough, I like the structuring and little embellishments. Radically minimalist and seemingly proud enough to take the poise. Influence begins with an ambient flowing of synth sounds to start. Then it begins to build up. Though it doesn't ever really get to a pinnacle, but goes around it instead. I quite like Compact, it's tighter and more focused. More melodic and rhythmic charm. The outro is pretty full-on, nice touch. Deep Shit, I revel in such a good, sound electronic track, quite dark but very appealing. Reminiscent of such lords of techno as Shades of Rhythm and others of that long gone era. Elektroshock backs me up I think, but there's a nice sense of chaos herein. Paranoïa captured a certain essence of such a state of mind, strange mood music. Unvisible made me think of Njoi straight away, one of my old faves. Chiptune made me think of making music on an Amiga 500 and playing Elite until I won, all night it took me. Only time I've 'gamed'. Hate video games nowadays. Systembug, that age old adage of the helpdesk operative, it's always a bug. I know because I've spent time on both sides of that particular technically flawed fence. It means, 'we don't know'. I even worked with an OpSys that had confirmed 'blackholes', I got excited about parallel universes but the boss didn't see the funny side. Only worked there for a year... When I was last at university, I had to explain to the Head of Communications and Internet Management what a 'virtual space' was. That was a degree worth getting obviously. The track is performed eminently well, and I believe there is a certain degree of being somewhat 'retro' in some senses. It was good enough for me then, and always will be. Thanks. Enjoyed that one.
