I love the original album but those remixes disappointed me. I mean the album is not bad but with the remix the originality of pornophonique is lost, the surprising harmony between the game boy's sounds and the guitar is no longer here. The instrumental parts don't fit the voice (except the strings on #1-lemmings in love), more particularly on #2-space invaders because the remix's tempo is quite slow whereas the original has a fast beat. I've also noticed that the instrumental parts have been put in the foreground, this led to a small loss of the voice's power.

Usually I find remixes boring, but these are hot. Get the main album, 8-bit lagerfeuer, fall in love with it, then download these for a nice companion piece. Some of the selections sound almost tropical. This will play well on my patio this summer while sipping strong sweet cocktails. The rhythm, vocals, and overall sound are so totally classy. This is from a group that is clearly enjoying what they do. I'm hoping for more music from pornophonique soon. These are going to be hard to beat.

Après avoir écouté le précédent (et vrai) album 8-bit de pornophonique, cette "version" gâche toute l'originalité qui faisait le carton de l'ancien album. On retrouve les memes paroles certes, mais la musique est répétitive et saoulante, et je trouve ça vraiment dommage.... Le précédent était un chef d'oeuvre, ce remix a tout gâché.

Este es un excelente ejemplo de un álbum de remixes. La primera vez que escuché a pornophonique me encantó su particular cadencia rítmica y melódica. Pensé que el remix podría ser: 1.- Una simple remasterización del sonido, sin ofrecer nada original o nuevo. 2.- Una distorsión de estilo y ritmo imperdonable en el cual todas las canciones se mimetizan en un golpe de bajo uniforme e identico en todas las pistas. Sin embargo me sorprendió que dentro de los elegantes límites del estilo y escencia de pornophonique, estos remixes hacen una nueva aproximación a las canciones de pornophonique. Tal vez la excepción sea Sad Robot en el cual la canción es totalmente irreconocible detrás del sonido semipsicodélico californiano. En general un buen album.

Eine schicke Ergänzung zum neuen Album (8-Bit-Lagerfeuer). space invaders (Track #2) finde ich sehr gut gelungen, auch wenn die Songs alle eher etwas dahinplätschern und sich mehr als Hintergrundsound eigenen im Gegensatz zu den Originalen vom Album, die so richtig fett rocken, was aber vermutlich auch so gedacht ist. Der Remix von lemmings in love wartet in der 2ten Hälfte des Songs mit einer interressanten Instrumentalisierung auf. Auch wenn die Remixes sehr schön geworden sind und mir 8 Punke wert sind und man eine Menge der Arbeit heraushört, die sicherlich drin steckt, wünsche ich mir irgendwann mal ein paar Remixe, die dem Gameboy eine größere Bedeutung zukommen lassen! Ansonsten freu ich mich schon jetzt auf die nächste Veröffentlichung und hoffe, das wir nicht wieder so lange auf das nächste Kunstwerk warten müssen wie beim ersten Album!!

Unvergleichlicher Sound, absolut genialer Elektro-Sound. Kein Abklatsch vom anderen Album, beide Alben gut hörbar.

Le charme du premier album disparaît. A part "lemmings in love" le reste est plutôt quelconque.
