Opus 1 is the first of a long list of works to come. It is not truly an album but rather a short collection of pieces. Like this first Opus, its successors will be composed of four pieces.

I interpret my compositions in an electro-acoustic genre, and more specifically in drumncello and drumnpiano styles.

"Diamond Eyes", "In the end", "Going Down", and "Cello in a rush" translate an atmosphere of mixed moods, mainly combining darkness, energy, and a hint of optimism. Raw sounds were deliberately kept in order to preserve this atmosphere.

Charles, your voice blow me away..Superb tonal ranges and a magical, mysterious, deep, presents within your rich joyous, uplifting, lovely voice. That is seductive, heart warming and sensitive, meaningful and sweet. As well as thoughtful and filled with charismatic energy and vibrancies, from your superb male voice. That makes me picture you, as a male diva if one ever one existed until now you...not sure on that one..But the point being your a star...Beautiful songs, beautiful music.Cracker of a voice.. And an up coming super star here on Jamendo.going by what I have just heard..Superb atmosphere and classical, acoustic, electronic, drumnbass, piano, cello soundtracks of songs..

Ciao, Cristiano

Your record caught me off-guard. The first track pulled me in, but it was "In The End" and "Going Down" which I felt were the superb highlights here. The last track was a playful romp unlike any other track I've yet heard. I hope you're able to enhance your recording studio and kick out future songs with just a wee bit more production value. Thanks so much for sharing this music!

WOW - I'm impressed. This is a delightful album of triphop with a huge treat at the end . .. which was an astonishing stunning cello in "Cello in a rush." OH MAN but I would LOVE to see Charles play this live . . . with that astonishing vivacity and dynamics so evident through this recording, it would be heaven to see it too . . what chills that music gave me . . . With only this one little album to judge from, I would say that this artist is very multi-talented to be able to sing; play all these instruments so well; compose these lovely songs; write lyrics, and record them, and share them with the community of Jamendo. I am so greedy that I hope we get more soon. This voice is excellent for these songs which are framed so well by these delightfully played instruments, the cello, the drums and the piano . .. powerful! The lyrics are easy to understand and fall into the rhythm of the song . . Wonderful music, definitely a plus to Jamendo . . . thanks for sharing . .. My only complaint is the cover . . . I am always encouraging people to create an eye-popping cover to catch the roving eye of the potential listener . . . That is the first hook for a new artist on Jamendo . . . and you are too good to be passed over by my bored eyes . . ;-D

Your sound is raw, minimalist, and beautiful. The pace of the songs, the beauty of your instrumental compositions, and the ultimate layer of warmness provided by your voice are truly inspiring. All pieces are great, but my absolute favourite is "Going Down". Some may not necessarily enjoy, but I am convinced most people who listen to your music will end up inspired on many different levels.

I have this notion... we are heading to a point where innovation and originality in musical composition, is becoming every time more, a smaller point of light at the end of the tunnel. Despite innovations can prove to be more of a challenge, the facility of being accessed and used and by a larger number of people that in some cases have more technical expertise and practical ingenuity, than inspiration or musical knowledge, make it hard to establish borders and reliable associations. I'm not an expert... however it seems to me that, what was produced here, is a very good combination between musical knowledges at the level of the composition, capacity of instrumental execution and technical ingenuity. The use of the voice, is more than just singing... more than just a front "instrument" with a face. It's sort of a conceptual construction to match the global musical structure, in order to create an exquisite piece of art, equal to many, but... unique, as few. Again, I'm not an expert... I'm just one, that really listens to a big amount of music, dares to have an opinion on that account and are not afraid to be wrong. PS - Have you ever considered singing in your language... I mean in French, isn't it?... think of it.
