A Quiet Light is a collection of quiet, dark, jazz influenced moods from the late, late hours of the night. Slow tempos, the sound of brushes on the snare, a saxophone speaking in soft tones and whispers. The music is often sad and at times even haunting, as on the tracks Dusk and Ghost, but in the dark and grey atmospheres of the album there’s also a faint ray of hope which is most notable on the final track Dawn.

The album artwork is done by Robert Costea.

They echo with the sound of your voice . . a ghostly refrain to my ears . . . the memory of your song touches the tenderness of my lips . . . a glimmer for a moment . . ragged are my tears, they flow those waves of saltiness down the curve of my still cheeks raw is my aching heart despairing are my needs . . . I am but a walking shell. . . when I move my bones crumble . . . gray and bleached . . . thus they scatter to the winds along the drifting sands . . . alone I lie . . . so cold before the sun will rise . . .

In the tiny hours of the night . . . the loneliest hours . . . a time where we feel most vulnerable . . .where we are most afraid . . . these melodies echo in the recesses of our minds as our thoughts circle in and around and devour themselves . . . stillborn . . . This is the time when we should float away into dreams of healing but the darkness seems to last forever and pulling us down it haunts us and it taunts us with a feeling of weary trembling and un-repose . . . but the music soothes us with a feeling of hope and companionship and gives a soft sign of light in a dark and unrelenting sky. . . and though the night is cold and shrouds us, there is a tinge of warmth wafted in by the music, and it welcomes us as we listen. . . we bathe in the liquid heat of this emotional jazz . . . full of promises and offers of hope. - M^^W -
