Ear and Heartwarming Rock Left me Wanting More

"THE GHOST" A wonderfully sung Rock based composition. The heavy riffs, though basic were very effective as they worked with the vocals. The electric guitar solos were also very effectively warm. "ENTERING THE RAT RACE" The strutting guitar riff worked on with a soothing melodic background. A screaming or was it a wailing guitar pierced the sound to move on to another level. The smoothing movement shifted on with the strutting and stuttering guitar riff again present. "CORVUS CORONE CORONIX" The beautifully quiet, almost silent start delivered much anticipation as a piano entry set a short scene only to be removed by a guitar melody. The pace quickened with more guitar based handles moving on and on. Then, back to the piano. The ever shifting themes built more on an ever increasing sense of anticipation. Then, a death came to the sound which gave way to a bass melody and then piano work on a truly soft and subtle level. There endeth the scene. "ESCAPING THE RAT RACE" The sweet vocals return in this track, something I missed from the track "THE GHOST". The music was all very similar with the same rhythm structure and riffs, but it was still very listenable. "1231231234" A soft Jazz start with mellow bass, percussion and keyboard was very welcoming on the ear. The piano continued its melody with a slow swing and an occasional punching of the keys. The piece was moving very subtly out of the Jazz and into the Rock genre as I felt the faster Rock drums beating their way through the sound and those guitar riffs staggering and stuttering again. The music moved higher and higher and as it ended, left me wanting more. A good all round Rock album with very good musical performances. The mixture of mellow and upbeat was done extremely well. All tracks were wonderfully ear and heartwarming to me, with "1231231234" being my favourite. Also, a cracking album cover. Great work.

a few bars tell me that someone is making real music. The drums especially sound very authentic, the guitar loaded with kick and aggression, the voice is a powerful woman's voice. Sound's Powerful but still good to the ear. Very good music!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're looking for progressive ambient postrock, look no further: OVERCOLORED is the real thing!

Post-Rock? Progressiv-Rock?
