Das erste Album erinnerte mich noch an Jeff Buckley, das hier eher an seinen Vater - aber vor allem wegen der Stimme: Eine Breite, wieviele Oktaven sind das? ... und die beherrscht er. Das ist großes Drama, geradezu Oper mit viel Seele im alternativen Pop-Rock-Gewand. Großartig! EMPFEHLUNG!!!

Endlich mal wieder etwas neues von After The Ice. Schon der Vorgänger "It Happens All the Time" hat sich aus der Masse der Musik bei Jamendo positiv hervorgehoben. "Commence" ist nun ein würdiger Nachfolger. Gut produziert, alle Instrumente gut zu hören und der Gesang kommt deutlich durch ohne alles zu übertönen. Gleich beim ersten hören hat es mir gefallen und als Musiker möchte man gleich mit zur Session einsteigen... Fazit: Das erste Album klang mir noch etwas mehr nach Coldplay, jetzt scheinen sie einen eigenen Weg zu finden. Mein aktueller Favorit: The Ballad of Jon Shannow

An Incredible high calibre,musical scores and compositions and superb sound quality as well, on this album. Profound and heartfelt, let alone sincere, driven and directional,moving and sweetly loving and a sensitively strong male vocals add on top. That sings with pure satisfaction guaranteed on hearing his sublime voice. That send shivers down my spine, on hearing him sing. With such determination and love for simply doing, what he loves and adores, and that is singing. Soul filled orgasmic tracks. one after the other. You simply can not ask for anything better..

Un album abouti, une sacré personnalité aux sonorités "Rock Psychédélique". Back in the future: influences 80's, on est séduit par la voix du chanteur, timbre entre Ian Astbury, chanteur de The Cult, époque "Love", "Sonic Temple" ou Bono, chanteur de U2, époque "October", "War". C'est assez bluffant et on prend son pied sur ce flot de guitares saturées, aux effets multiples et toujours avec le soucis de l'accompagnement rythmique. Équilibre réussi, les morceaux s'enchaînent et se complètent, c'est très bon pour les esgourdes et on finit même par se sentir Rebelle Romantique. Maîtrise totale du sujet!!!

L'album "it happens all the time"était excellent. Et bien ce nouvel album "commence" l'est tout autant. Toutefois j'ai une préférence pour "polka for a vamp" et "the ballad of jon shannon". Merci pour le partage.
