The music took me into the comfort and place of my beginning and my ending . . . where my story is . . chapter one and all the way through to the end . . . this African music was so thick with meaning and innuendo . . it was a feeling of movement . .. power . . . empowerment . . . healing . . .. and warmth . . . where now there is only coldness. . . . and loneliness . . . there I found companionship and song . . . the singers warmed my soul with their powerful voices . . . their emotions compelled me to follow into their music and rhythm . ..
