Distinct Gratification for sure, everything I'd expect and a little bit more. Mobyl have their very distinct moves. Fast Train chugs along like a locomotive, with the emphasis on locomotion, lovely minimalism between stations of the crass. Nice bit of sound engineering. Hydrangea, one of my mother's favourite flowers (God rest her) and a good, straightforward track, with a nice build up of intensity and reversion to the main theme. Greasy Style captures the essence of something potentially repulsive, who likes grease apart from engineers of the fast trains?) Tidy work, as I have come to expect already. Minimalism is not for all, that I can appreciate, but if you listen carefully there is quite a bit of complexity involved, even if it's a mathematical equation.

am anfang dachte ich 'ach herjeh, was ist das denn?!', aber ich lies es weiter laufen. ich stellte fest, dass obwohl die musik sehr minimalistisch gehalten ist und vom mixdown her noch so einiges gehen könnte, dennoch dieses gewisse etwas vorhanden ist. es grooved irgendwie und hat seinen eigenen charme.
