Hi, I'm Venry Peace and this is my first album I ever recorded, although it's not the first one at Jamendo. All of this music has been created with atari 1040ST, a roland keyboard and roland mks-7 module, in the '90s. But there wasn't any recording of these songs. Nowadays it has become much easier to record digitally and even burn cd's. And Jamendo even made it possible to put the whole cd online.
This music is in fact not meant to be listened by people without any time. First of all it will take more than 1 hour to listen to all of it. Second, there are at least 3 compositions which take longer than 10 minutes of your time, which is rather rare these days. I have been inspired very much by Mike Oldfield and his "tubular bells"-composition though. And each of these compositions must be telling a kind of story, although I rather prefer that the listener of this music uses his/her own imagination to think or even dream away with the music and imagine a new story with it.
I do hope some people will enjoy and appreciate this music.

Mein allererster Eindruck war: Was ist das denn? Überdrehte japanische „Anime-Manga-Musik?
Doch also ich das Album dann (gegen meinen ersten Impuls) weiter gehört habe, wurde mir gewahr, dass Verny Frieden (so der Macher dies Werkes) hier einfach eine ganz eigene Musik abgeliefert hat – Musik wie aus einer verschachtelten bizarren Märchenwelt – wie ein psychedelisches Alice-in Wunderland-Album …oder eine Musik für ein durchgeknalltes Spiel?
Auf jeden Fall ein sehr kreatives Album mit sehr vielen Ideen – das oft fernöstlich klingt – aber auch (elektro)jazzige Anleihen besitzt.
Doch am Ende muss man es einfach selbst gehört haben, um sich ein Urteil zu bilden, da es einfach in keine Schublade passen will.
Negativ: Effekte wie das Mädchengeschrei gefielen mir nicht - weil diese es zu oft wiederholt wurden – hier wäre es (für mein Gefühl) schön gewesen das Geschreie zu morphen – oder zumindest die Lautstärke zu vagieren
Il debito verso Oldfield, peraltro onestamente dichiarato dall'autore nelle note esplicative, è evidente.
Peraltro è notevole l'effetto della scarnificazione timbrica tipica dell'uso intensivo del MIDI. Ciò conferisce a quest'album un particolare fascino, una sorta di aurorale verginità che, probabilmente, potrà essere apprezzata da chi ama l'esercizio della ri-costruzione mentale dei suoni.
Un lavoro minimalista, espressivo, bellissimo.

Il y a dans votre travail une fraîcheur, une prise de risque, un inattendu qui fait plaisir à entendre...car c'est très loin d'être le cas chez beaucoup d'artistes jamendo qui passent leur temps à copier en moins bien ce qui se fait chez les pros...
Bien sûr, il y a des défauts, des instruments par trop caoutchouteux,des moments un peu longs ou pas super bien calés mais surtout des petites merveilles de légèreté (comme "waltz of life"). Vraiment votre travail créatif mérite d'être encouragé.
Bravo. Continuez dans cette direction. Vous avez gagné un fan à Lille ! :)
I must admit it did remind me.. in places of Mike Oldfield...tubular bells..but it.. did also, have a Victorian,Tudor.. musty aura, about it..as well..at times...You did put, your mark on it...and made it personal and meaningful, and sweet...and very laid back..and chilled to perfection..for the listener to enjoy and feel...
Je me suis arrêtée au hasard et j'ai été agréablement surprise. D'autant que j'ai des projets de vidéos et ce style de musique ira très bien avec.
