About this album
With 'Some Stories and Thoughts' the ukrainian couple 'The Nightchild', consisting of Alexey Nightchild A. (vocals, guitar, keyboard, programming) and Olga 'Holy Cat' (bass), herald a new era in the band's history. Though they've just released their re-release of 'Another Shadow' together with the 'With Me'-EP not even halfa year ago, as their afmusic debut, the band appears with brand new material already.
This time they offer much more perfected classic gothic rock, including their own distinctive note. 10 new songs and an alternative version of 'With Me' are waiting, ready to put a spell on the listener, like oneself doesn't experience it often.

Ihre musikalischen Vorbilder verleugnen sie nicht aber sie haben ihre Musik weiterentwickelt, sind keine Sisters of Mercy-Epigonen mehr, sondern Nightchild. Den Goth-Rock-Stil muss man mögen ... aber wenn man ihn mag, dann ist dieses Album Klasse.

Ein, zwei Lieder von diesem Album kann man sich ruhig mal anhören. Auf Dauer fällt allerdings der ständig gleichbleibende Rhythmus auf, der nur mäßig variiert wird. Ein paar mehr Ideen können schon noch eingebaut werden. Bin gespannt auf das nächste Album!
